Welcome to the City of Madeira, Ohio.
Madeira, northeast of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, was recently recognized by BusinessWeek magazine as the 40th “best place to raise kids” in the United States of America. The rankings were based upon cost of living, quality of the local schools, safety and recreation opportunities. Reinforcing this ranking, U.S. News and World Report recently awarded the Madeira City School District a Silver Medal as having one of the top public high schools in the country. Madeira High School consistently ranks in the top 10 public high schools in Ohio.
With a hometown feel, Madeira has an attractive and vibrant central business district where visitors and residents can shop and dine. Located just outside of Madeira is one of the premier regional shopping malls, Kenwood Towne Centre. Housing is primarily single-family homes with a wide range in price and styles. The city has acres of public parks offering all types of youth and adult recreation. Madeira is consistently recognized for its charming atmosphere, high quality of life, and being a family-friendly place to live, work and play.

In 1910, the City of Madeira was formed as a village under the laws of the State of Ohio. One hundred years later, Madeira has become one of the premier suburban communities in the Greater Cincinnati area.
