In May, 2011, Madeira was recognized, for the second year in a row, by Cincy Magazine (www.CincyMagazine.com) as the #1 Suburb in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Ky. area. This ranking is based on the recent sales values of housing, our very low crime rate and the high quality of the award winning Madeira City Schools. Madeira was also recognized in 2009 by BusinessWeek magazine as the 40th “best place to raise kids” in the U.S.A. These rankings were based upon cost of living, quality of the local schools, safety and recreation opportunities. Further reinforcing this ranking, U.S. News and World Report recently awarded the Madeira City School District a Silver Medal as having one of the top public high schools in the country. Madeira High School consistently ranks in the top 10 public high schools in Ohio.
