During a moderate snow event, we will employ three trucks at one time. Crews will concentrate on the main roads first (Kenwood, Miami, Euclid, East Galbraith, Shawnee Run, Camargo and Dawson), with special emphasis given to steep hills and other dangerous areas. When these routes are sufficiently clear, we will move into the subdivisions and begin clearing the secondary streets.

City Council recently passed a new snow emergency ordinance that allows the City Manager to declare a "Snow Emergency" if it snows more than 3 inches. This would also allow the police department to remove vehicles from the streets at the owners expense so that the Public Works Department can effectively and efficiently remove snow from the streets of Madeira. Please remember, next time it snows to please remove your vehicles from the streets so that the snow can be removed in a safe manner.
