All construction, including remodeling, additions, accessory buildings and other types of improvements must be done in accordance with the applicable City of Madeira Ordinances, the latest addition of the Residential Code of Ohio (RCO) and the State of Ohio Building Code (OBC).

Residential Permits
Along with the building permit application:
- Exterior Work - submit two (2) sets of construction drawings (including site plan).
- Interior Work - submit two (2) sets of construction drawings.
Commercial Permits
Along with the building permit application:
- Exterior Work - submit five (5) sets of construction drawings (including site plan).
- Interior Work - submit four (4) sets of construction drawings.
PLEASE NOTE: A COST ESTIMATE/QUOTE MUST ALSO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF THE APPLICATION IN ORDER TO PROCESS THE PERMIT.
BUILDER / CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The owner is responsible for making sure the builder/contractor has obtained all necessary building permits and for calling for building inspections as required. Building inspections are done by the Madeira City Building Inspectiors. |
