Thomas W. Moeller was appointed to the position of City Manager in March, 1989 following the retirement of former City Manager William Toth. He previously served as City Manager of Mason, Ohio from 1980 to 1989. As well, he was an adjunct associate professor at Xavier University from 1982-1988, teaching budgeting and public finance in the graduate masters program of public administration.
Mr. Moeller holds a bachelor of arts in political science and a masters degree in public administration from the University of Cincinnati. He has served on numerous boards and commissions throughout his career including the board of directors for the Hamilton County Development Company, chairman of the Metropolitan Sewer District Policy Advisory Committee and the board of directors for the Center for Local Government. He served on the executive committee of the Ohio City Management Association as secretary-treasurer, vice president and president and has been chairman of the Greater Cincinnati Local Government Managers Association for two separate terms.
Presently he serves on the Executive Board of the First Suburbs Consortium of Southwest Ohio as well as on the Hamilton County Tax Incentive Review Council for the County Commissioners. He continues to be an active member of both the International City Management Association and Ohio City Management Association. Mr. Moeller has resided in Madeira since his appointment in 1989.
