Do I have to file with the City of Madeira?
The City of Madeira has a mandatory filing requirement (even if you have no income) for all residents, including those who rent their residence, 18 years of age and older and property owners. Also all businesses that are located in or doing work in Madeira must file.

Effective January 1, 2021, the allowable credit for tax paid to another locality is .6% of the portion of the wages taxed by the municipality. We do not give credit for county withholding.

If your estimated tax liability is more than $200 for the year, estimated payments are required. Your first payment is due when filing the previous year's tax return and then by June 15th for your second quarter, September 15th for your third quarter, and January 15th for your fourth quarter.
What if I need more time to file?
We will grant you a 6-month extension to file your taxes, but you must have at least 90% of the tax due paid in on April 15th or you will receive penalties and interest on the unpaid amount.
